I just adore a neutral room design layered with soft pops of colour! When we started discussing the direction for this space, we knew we wanted to include a special wall treatment and we’re so happy with the board and batten detailing we chose. It’s so simple, yet brings so much depth and interest to the room, especially painted out in the most beautiful shade of blue.

The blue feature wall created the perfect background for neutral furniture, like a light grey glider, white dresser with leather pulls, textured cream rug and a distressed white drum side table. To warm up all the white furnishings, we added in a beech wood crib, rattan mirror, birch book ledges and oak picture frames! This mix of whites, creams and light wood tones creates such a soft tonal environment.

We introduced a few blush pink and blue accents through decor pieces and accessories to layer in a cohesive colour story; like a decorative floral cushion, taupe cross swaddle and stunning felt seashell mobile.

A last minute ottoman find from HomeSense really brought the entire room together — it matches the feature wall perfectly and adds a wonderful delicate pattern to the space! The end result is a soft and serene nursery that’s fresh as a daisy.
