Kids grow, like really really fast! I first designed this boy’s room two years ago, but its’ mini resident quickly outgrew his toddler bed, so it was time to upgrade some of the furniture to ensure the room functioned more efficiently for him. The overall aesthetic and decor elements were still working perfectly, so we just switched out the crib for a fun floor bed, sourced new neutral bedding, brought in a bean bag to create a comfy reading nook and added a wall mounted desk for drawing and displaying various toy collections. My favourite part is the pterodactyl my Clients hung from the bottom of one of the shelves… how stinkin’ cute! We sourced a new wood geometric light fixture to work more cohesively with the bed frame because we wanted to repurpose the existing brass pendant in baby sister’s nursery. You can check out the initial room design from 2018 here, to see how it has evolved over time. It’s still just as sweet, only a touch more grown-up!
