This peaceful cloud nursery is beyond adorable and I am so excited to be sharing it with you all, let’s jump right into the details!
The project all started with the request for a cloud wallpaper accent wall, so we found an incredible vintage cloud mural in a very subtle shade of blue. It was the perfect back drop for the space — so dreamy! From there, we honed in on a light blue, cream and golden colour palette.
We were lucky to be able to repurpose my client’s weathered white crib and dresser set, which set the tone for our airy and timeless design direction. From a plush check rug to a sherpa bean bag, hand cast stone side table and wood beaded chandelier, this room has so many special details to explore.
I wanted to juxtapose the hard metal and wood surfaces with lots of plush textures. I find this to be such an easy way to elevate a kid’s room! It shows intent with the design and you can really get creative with texxtiles! We even added some techy touches to this nursery, like a motorized glider and touch floor lamp! Adding just a handful of gold and yellow accents brings a little bit of edge to the overall neutral design; a star mobile, raffia lion head and a few books is all it took to create a coordinated colour story.
I’m quite literally on cloud nine with the final result on this dreamy nursery! What do you think?
