For this little fella’s nursery, we were going for an earthy and minimal vibe, and the outcome is oh so cute! We started by pairing a subtle woodland wallpaper with a vintage-inspired rug and beautiful cane paneled crib. I love the contrast of the wood tone against the wallpaper and how well it ties in with the ivory and warm brown tones in the rug. It all just works so effortlessly!

To bring in some depth and colour, we selected a beautiful muted blue linen fabric for our custom drapery panels and incorporated other textiles and accessories in the same colour way; like the small star cushion and baby blanket. We also added in some brown accents to bring a warm and cozy feel to the space; how sweet is the fawn mobile and little knit bear? And we didn’t forget about playing up the textures either — we chose a boucle ottoman and soft sherpa cushion to create beautiful layers.

When it comes to nurseries, you can’t go wrong with a bookcase. It’s useful when they are babies for specialty toys, books and sentimental items and can grow with your little one over the years to display sports medals, LEGO collections and endless amounts of books. This is my favourite arched bookcase… it has the most playful shape.

Instead of ordering a new dresser, I was also asked to incorporate a family heirloom, so we refinished it with a fresh coat of chalk paint and brass hardware and it fits right in with the rest of the design. This space is a serene little dream and I just love it!
